about me
My time in the classroom showed me children are our greatest teachers. Before having my own child in 2022, I had the privilege of being the lead teacher in a Primary Montessori classroom at the Montessori Children’s School in San Luis Obispo.
These years instilled within me a deep appreciation of community and collaboration with extraordinary educators who care deeply about meeting each child and each family where they are.
In 2023 I founded Sunbeam Montessori, an infant and toddler program serving children 1-3 years old on the Central Coast.
I completed my Montessori Primary Training at the Montessori Institute of San Diego and hold a Masters of Education, and BA in Human Services.
I am passionate about movement for all beings and am a certified children and adult yoga teacher. I am a great lover of the outdoors and my happy place is camping, hiking, and kayaking with my daughter and husband.

My mission is to support families to intentionally integrate Montessori philosophy into their daily lives and homes through mindfully created spaces, routines, and play that continually foster your child’s independence, confidence, and JOY!
Montessori Environments and Consulting create personalized services in your home based on what YOU are looking for. I collaborate with your vision, your budget, and the day to day functioning of your household. All consultation services use a growth mindset and Montessori approach showing the utmost respect for the child and family.

Respect for the child
Including the child in daily tasks and creating spaces that are accessible for them to participate and feel successful. When a child is involved in these tasks it helps them feel helpful and valued.
Freedom Within Limits
Inviting your child to make appropriate choices within safe and clear boundaries.
Prepared Environment
Setting the child up for success by creating an organized and age appropriate environment for the child to explore and learn using all of their senses. Classrooms and homes are thoughtfully designed based on the child's needs and interests. This allows the child to learn, work, develop and grow at their own individual pace.
Belief in the Absorbent Mind
A period of time where the child effortlessly takes in information and knowledge about their surroundings based on their experiences and the world around them.
Sensitive Periods
A strong sensitivity towards a specific skill or knowledge such as language, order, movement, and sensorial work. In Montessori we refer to any purposeful activity as the child’s work.

Consulting ServiceS
In collaboration with families, we will create beautiful environments designed with items already in your home, or on request can provide new materials. Each space will promote your child's independence and confidence to make developmentally appropriate choices while including them in daily life.
